Based in Australia’s Blue Mountains, Alisha Hacadurian is a internationally practicing photographer and stylist with a focus on still life photography.
Alisha’s use of refined, minimal and highly curated colour pallets works to provide a high end, elegant feeling throughout her portfolio. This is supported by her incredibly strong application of light and shadow, particularly with regards to metallic objects which are all represented in a highly clean and defined manner. She also uses contrast really intentionally to emphasize products within each composition. The styling in Alisha’s photos feels very luxurious which in turn gives a presumed value to the products being photographed. Her work is a key source of visual inspiration for my own.
Alisha’s photography has a sense of subtle surrealism and gentle consideration that works in her favor. Collectively her portfolio is highly considered and her style clearly defined.
There is a sense of underlying curiosity and hinted visual narratives in each of her works. There is a clear thoughtfulness behind each image, where somehow Alisha manages to draw timeless beauty out from ordinary objects through her staging and aesthetic styling. (INFO — Demiurge Studio 2019)
I am most inspired by her use of visual storytelling through styling as well as as her elegant style.
