Kooiker’s work breaks the boundaries of conventional fashion photography through his exploration and experimentation with the human form. He uses artificial extensions, props and costuming to stretch the human body and contort it in curious and distorting ways in a surrealist approach. 

His work has a strange sense of other worldliness with each elaborate costume somewhat alienating his subject through techniques of obscurity and absurdity.
