I am most inspired by his curious incorporation of fabric into some of his fashion still life’s. In his series for matches fashion he used fabric to envelope strange forms and props serving as pedestals for the accessories and shoes he was capturing. The texture created through the fabric’s wrapping creates a point of visual difference for the images, a somewhat playful and peculiar look that peaks viewers interest. His intentionally soft, side lighting sculpts the forms with shadows adding depth to the images, heightening the sculptural look and feel which works well. His warm and inviting aesthetic gives his work an approachability and a softness to it.  The intentionally muted, warm and neutral colour scheme creates this.
